What’s inside
- The four tools
- Task Audit
- Sort each task into one type
- Mark it to delegate if you check at least three
- Run the numbers
Who it’s for
For the owner still doing work somebody else could do, who has either put delegating off for too long or hired fast and watched it come apart. Tool 1 sets the bar at ten to fifteen hours a week worth handing over, so if you cannot find that much yet it is too early, and if you already run written role documents and a structured onboarding this will mostly confirm what you have.

What to do with it
- Run the Task Audit for one week. List every recurring task without filtering, then sort each one and price it. The point is to make handing work over a financial decision instead of an emotional one.
- Fill in one Role Requirements page for the work the audit turned up. If another manager could supervise from that page, it is finished.
- Keep Tools 3 and 4 for after the hire. Plan the first thirty to sixty days before day one, then review in writing every sixty to ninety days.
If the audit does not turn up ten to fifteen hours, the answer is not a hire yet. It is either that the work is not documented or that you are not ready to let it go, and both are cheaper to fix now than after somebody starts.
